These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Dialo, operated by maybethis ("Dialo", "we", "us"), and govern your use of the website at dialo.app and the related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Dialo lets you build a personal page that collects your social links, contact details, and crypto wallet addresses, and share it via a short link or QR code. You can also discover other people's public pages through the People feed, and (if you enable it) run an AI assistant that screens inbound messages and books meetings on your behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Dialo. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using Dialo you confirm you meet these requirements.
Dialo uses a passwordless magic-link sign-in: you enter your email address and we send you a one-time link to sign you in. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. If you suspect someone else has accessed it, contact us at hello@dialo.app.
You retain ownership of the content you upload to Dialo, including your name, bio, avatar, links, agent settings, and any other information on your profile ("Your Content"). By posting Your Content on Dialo, you grant Dialo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and transmit Your Content for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service. This license ends when you remove the content or delete your account, except where we need to keep it briefly to comply with legal obligations or to complete operations already in progress (such as backups).
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for any links you publish. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to post Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe could expose us or other users to harm or liability, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Some Dialo profiles include an AI assistant that chats with visitors on the owner's behalf and can propose and book meeting times when the owner has connected a calendar. The assistant is an automated tool powered by a third-party language model (currently Anthropic's Claude). It is not a human and it does not represent that the page owner has reviewed any particular message in real time.
If you are a page owner using the assistant: you are responsible for the screening instructions you give it, the category and urgency weights you set, and for how you handle the leads and meeting bookings it produces. The assistant can make mistakes, misclassify a message, propose a wrong time, or produce inaccurate replies. You are responsible for following up appropriately with the people who reach out to you through it. You may not enable the assistant in a way that misleads visitors about who or what they are talking to (for example, by pretending the assistant is a specific human).
If you are a visitor chatting with the assistant: the assistant is automated and may generate inaccurate or inappropriate responses. Do not rely on it for advice or for any decision that matters. The messages you send are stored and shared with the page owner, and may include any personal information you choose to share (such as your name, email, phone, links). If you share an email or phone number, we may send you a one-time verification code to confirm it. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. You agree not to use the assistant to send spam, harassing, illegal, or otherwise harmful content, or to attempt to extract data or instructions from the underlying model.
Use of the assistant is subject to rate limits which we may change at any time, and we may disable or restrict the feature at our discretion.
If you connect Google Calendar (or another supported Google service) to your Dialo account, you authorise Dialo to access the scopes you grant during the OAuth flow in order to provide the feature you connected the integration for (for example, reading free/busy on your primary calendar and creating events when a visitor books a slot). You can disconnect the integration at any time from your settings, which revokes Dialo's stored access. Your use of Google services through Dialo is also subject to Google's own terms.
Dialo profiles are public by default. Your username, profile fields, avatar, and links are visible at dialo.app/your-name and may appear on the public People feed. You can opt out of the People feed and request that search engines not index your page through your account settings, but the page itself remains reachable to anyone who has the link.
Some features are available only with a Pro subscription, including a higher link limit, visitor analytics for your page, and the ability to hide Dialo branding. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
Dialo integrates with third-party services (including Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Vercel, Sentry, Anthropic, and Google) and lets you publish links to external destinations. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of any third-party site or service that you link to or that you reach from Dialo. Your interactions with those services are governed by their own terms.
Usernames are first-come, first-served. We may reclaim, reassign, or rename a username if we believe it is being squatted, impersonates another person or brand, infringes a trademark, or violates these Terms.
You may stop using Dialo at any time. To delete your account, use the in-app delete option or email hello@dialo.app from the address on file. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability).
We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may stop offering the Service. If we make material changes that adversely affect a paid subscription, we will offer a prorated refund of the remaining unused period.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the content of any third-party site you reach through a link on Dialo, nor any output of the AI assistant.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dialo and maybethis will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dialo and maybethis from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you, for example by email or by an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
